The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

San Antonio-(RYM)-HAPPY NATIONAL TE DAY!!!!!! What a freakin weekend!!!! I could not have called anything that happened but let us get into Week 7 of The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

Teams on bye Steelers, Bills, Chargers, Jaguars, Vikings, Cowboys

Browns 17, Broncos 14

A must win for The Broncos that they could not get

Browns FB Johnny Stanton celebrates a TD during Thursday Nights Game vs The Broncos/Cleveland Browns

Good:

The Browns had a list so long of players that are hurt or on IR, that we can make a whole new team from that. Yet they still managed to shut out The Broncos in the first half and stay ahead to win a very hard-fought game. Let us also give a huge shout-out to D'Ernest Johnson at one point he was DMing AAF teams for a chance to try out for the team, and now in his debut, he rushed for 146 yards and a TD enjoy it.

The Broncos did all they could to make it a close game especially with Teddy Bridgewater being hurt and the defense playing poorly.

Bad:

The Browns need to look at the injuries and figure out how bad each one is because they are coming into a heavy stretch of division rivals, lucky for them they do not play till Halloween so much-needed rest is coming.

The Broncos were a hot mess Thursday night with Teddy playing hurt and there start LB Von Miller going down early with a sprained ankle.

Ugly:

The Broncos have huge issues but it starts with the coaching, I see poor fundamentals being played. It's time to stop looking at the players and start looking at the coaching staff and maybe make some changes.

Overall:

The Browns pulled off a win so be happy but the injuries are worrisome. The Broncos need to look inwards before the next game and make big changes.

Panthers 3, Giants 25

WOW!!!! WOW!!!!

Giants QB Daniels Jones catches a pass in front of Panthers Sean Chandler during Sunday game (AP Photos/Bill Kostroun)/New York Giants

Good:

The only good thing for The Panthers is DJ Moore, you can throw a rag full of lubricant and he will catch it.

They call him Danny Dimes for a reason he is now tied with Dave Brown for the 7th most pass TD for The Giants. Of course, you can't forget that one-handed catch!

Bad:

We will talk about it in The Ugly.

The Giants could have played a little more balanced football,

Ugly:

The Panthers were shut out at the half for the first time since 2019, Sam Darnold is off the mark and cannot seem to read the defenses, and The Panthers defense that was once the 1 in the NFL has disappeared. Too many issues for the once 3-0 Panthers.

Overall:

The Giants are looking better but still a long way to go. The Panthers are not sure what is wrong or how to fix it.

Jets 13, Patriots 54

DAMN!!!!!!

Good:

The Patriots were so upset about the OT loos to my Cowboys that they took it out on The Jets. They even let the second-string QB go for it when they should have just run down the clock it was so bad, but they needed a statement win which they got.

They scored 13 points, the only positive thing in that game.

Bad:

The Patriots need to figure out how long Devin McCourty and Jonny Smith will be out or if they will be out, they are vital parts to both the offense and defense which could hurt them moving forward.

We will discuss it in the Ugly.

Ugly:

Zack Wilson is hurt and due to miss 2-4 weeks, the defense is hurting and the offense has issues but only time will tell how all this will shape up.

Overall:

The Patriots got the statement win that they needed. The Jets have issues simple.

Titans 27, Chiefs 3

Panic time for The Chiefs

Titans S Kevin Byard punches the ball out of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes during Sunday’s game(Donal Page)/Tennessee Titans

Good:

The Chiefs have nothing good here.

The Titans are looking mean A.J Brown 100+ yards, Henry had 100+ yards with a thrown TD, and Ryan Tannehill was as close to perfect as you can ask when playing The Chiefs.

Bad:

We will discuss The Chiefs in the ugly.

The only bad thing here is an INT from Ryan Tannehill that was his fault.

Ugly:

The Chiefs had everything go wrong for them. The defense could not stop anyone ( I could run through that defense), and the pass defense was even worse as seen by Brown's 100-yard game. Mahomes now has gone 6 straight games with 1 or more INT with no change in sight. I just am not sure what is going to the once Super Bowl champs.

Overall:

The Titans are contenders and the AFC should watch out. PANIC BUTTON TIME for The Chiefs.

WFT 10, Packers 24

I mean we called it

Good:

The Packers played well and are keeping the winning streak alive since The Saints game and should use this momentum going into a tough part of the schedule which included the undefeated Cardinals and the hot and cold Chiefs.

Washington outgained The Packers 430-304, the offense was able to move the ball on The Packer's defense that was decimated by injuries.

Bad:

The Packers need to work on the defense I understand that it is decimated by injuries. They should have not allowed The WFT trips as close as inside the 5.

WFT had plenty of chances to make the game close, and yet they wasted them and could not even come up with points.

Ugly:

The WFT is a huge mess right now on both offense and defense. If they want a chance to not finish last in the worse division in the NFL they need to figure something out.

Overall:

The Packers are rolling, The WFT is struggling.

Falcons 30, Dolphins 28

Way to close for comfort, way to close.

Good:

The Falcons spread the love all over the field from Kyle Pitts to Calvin Ridley and even Russell Gage. The Falcons are looking a lot more balanced and potent on offense.

Tua Tagovailoa had a career-high 4 TD and was able to put the team in a position to win the game.

Bad:

In typical Atlanta fashion, they let a huge lead go and almost lost it, lucky for them it was vs The Dolphins if they want to get back to the promised land they will need to learn how to keep a lead.

Tua is trying to be the hero for The Dolphins when he shouldn't be, such as trying to force passes to Jaylen Waddle, he needs to learn when he should force it and not force it.

Ugly:

Honestly, both teams were ugly here, but I mean between the two organizations they make half a college team so yeah that is all I have to say about that.

Overall:

The Falcons are at .500 again but can they stay winning is the question. The Dolphins have too many issues and questions.

Ravens 17, Bengals 41

I did not see this coming

Bengals TE C.J. Uzomah celebrates after scoring a 52-yard TD versus The Ravens/Cincinnati Bengals

Good:

If the playoffs were to start now The Bengals would be the 1# seed in the AFC with the bye. They needed to play lights out to win in Baltimore with that score, I believe they did.

The Ravens made it a game and what a game it was.

Bad:

They all played well but there is something ugly to talk about.

The Raven's secondary, lack of run game has finally caught up to them and unless they can change it somehow I see a downward spiral for The Ravens.

Ugly:

I am not sure if they can sustain this start, they are good I cannot lie but they are not as established as we want them to be they struggled versus the Jags of all teams and that worries me.

Overall:

The Bengals are much improved but still have a ways to go. The Ravens have a lot to worry about.

Rams 28, Lions 19

The trade game

Good:

The Rams won an ugly game but still, they won and the connection of Copper Kupp and Matthew Stafford is looking like a brand new car in a new house.

The Lions are fighting till the end and will win a game this season as long as they keep playing to the last minute.

Bad:

Special teams are now the Achilles heel of The Rams they were out coached/played on Sunday if The Rams want to be Super Bowl contenders they need to be firing on Special Teams just like they are on Offense/Defense.

The Lost simple as that, they still have issues on the offense and defense that need to be addressed but at least it can be fixed.

Ugly:

0-7 is ugly no matter how you put it, and moral victories do not win Super Bowls but they can help you win at least 1 game in a season that is a rebuild (again)

Overall:

The Rams are still contenders. The Lions will win 1 game this season.

Eagles 33, Raiders 22

Carr had the second best QBR with 91.2 in NFL history

Good:

A few weeks ago The Raiders were trash then had the Gruden fiasco (that we won't go into) but now they are 5-2 and beat the rocks of the eagles. If they keep this up they can challenge The Chargers for the division crown and scare everyone in the AFC.

They stayed in the game and should have won it but they can build on the good things they did such as keeping to the running game and could pull off some wins in the coming weeks.

Bad:

The Raiders still allowed 22 points and Carr had 1 INT, they need to clean things up so they can stay contenders.

The Defense is horrible, which allowed Carr to go 31-34 for 323 yards and 2 TDs (they got 1 INT but that means nothing when he has a perfect game).

Ugly:

The Eagles need to clean house in all aspects because nothing is good there.

Overall:

The Raiders are in control of the AFC West get excited. The Eagles need help because I am not sure what is going on in Philly.

Cardinals 31, Texans 5

The Texans got a safety I cannot believe it!!!!!

Good:

The Cardinals started slow but somehow by the grace of God managed to come back and win the game (he said sarcastically) they scored 17 unanswered points to enter the half then took the game over in the second half.

They held the undefeated Cardinals to zero points in the 1st quarter and sacked Murray 4 times, good job Texans.

Bad:

The Cardinals had a bad first half where they were shut out and the OL allowed The Texans to get to Murray one too many times which says how will they handle a start like this versus the lights of MVP Aaron Rodgers and The Packers on Thursday night.

So past the 1st quarter and the few times that they sacked Murray The Texans looked like my high school football team when I was there (actually that team could beat The Texans).

Ugly:

The Texans are horrible they are the joke of the NFL, it is time to give up on the season and start looking at the future (if there is one)

Overall:

The Cardinals had an ugly win but they won to stay undefeated. The Texans stink simple as that.

Bears 3, Buccaneers 38

Congrats to Tom Brady on his 600th TD

Bucs WR Mike Evans Celebrates catching QBs Tom Brady’s 600th TD/Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Good:

The Buccs had 4 TD passes and 1 on the ground for a total of 5 TD, on defense Justin Fields was sacked 4 times and intercepted 3 times. It was a very good game, and let us not forget they scored 35 in the first half.

The Bears scored 3 points and held The Bucs to 3 points in the second half which is good.

Bad:

The Bucs played great, but it begs to wonder what happened in the second half with only scoring 3 points? If they want to keep winning they will need to keep putting points in both halves.

The Bears lets Justin Fields was sacked 4 times and intercepted 3 times.

Ugly:

The Bears need to help Fields, he was never comfortable in the pocket which caused him to make bad decisions that led to striped-sacks and ints. If they want Fields to be the future, they need to invest more in the OL or they will have an Andrew Luck situation in their hands.

Overall:

The Bucs are hot and with a light schedule, the only team that has a chance to beat them is The Bills. The Bears need a change, and it should start in the coaching staff.

Colts 30, 49ers 18

It was a wet win for The Colts

Colts TE Mo Alie-Cox runs in for an easy TD during Sunday nights game vs The 49ers/Indianapolis Colts

Good:

The Colts needed to return to Indy with a win and everything was in their way (weather, defense, offense, crowd noise) yet they were able to run, pass and defend the ball to stay within a game of the first-place Tennessee Titans.

The 49ers started the game with a balanced of run and throw even on a horrible weather day and we saw flashes of the team that took them to the Super Bowl.

Bad:

The Colts lack of pass rush was horrible.

I did not know this till the Sunday night game but, OH MY GOD!!!!!!! How are the 49ers getting so many PI calls? The Colts took advantage of it and it was costly to the 49ers.

Ugly:

Yes, they played well but the game was way too close up to the 4th quarter and it was due to the lack of pass rush. The game would have been a lot different if they could sack the QB then they could have taken over the game in the 2nd quarter, yet they could not even force a sack to help the offense who was getting hot as the game was moving.

Overall:

The Colts won now the AFC South is getting good. The 49ers season is slipping away.

Seahawks 10, Saints 13

I love Monday night football with the Mannings!!! Oh and the game was good to.

Saints QB Jameis Winston talks to Saints RB Alvin Kamara during the Monday Night Football game versus The Seahawks(Thomas King/NFL LCC/New Orleans Saints)/New Orleans Saints

Good:

The Saints leaned on Alvin Kamara and a solid defense to outlast The Seahawks. If they keep doing it, they can win games.

The Seahawks made it a game till the end. The defense did step up only allowing 304 yards and holding The Saints for 2 of 13 3rd down, add on to it that the pass rush finally showed signs of life. As long as the defense plays the way they did last night they can stay just alive enough to try for a wild card spot once Russell comes back.

Bad:

The lack of a number 2 guy in the wide receiver room is proving to be a huge hole on the offense, if Michael Thomas does not come back soon they will need to figure something out before the tradeline to help them out.

Geno Smith did the best he could but there is a reason why he's a backup QB in the NFL, with that being said the game was lost by others not Geno Smith but ill go over it in The Ugly.

Ugly:

The Seahawks defense had The Saints stopped twice, and had a chance to get off the field and give the offense a chance to get ahead in the game, but that is not what happened. Twice they committed penalties that allowed The Saints drives to stay alive which then led to the game-winning field goal. If they want to win games they need to nip this in the but NOW!!! They missed 2 field goals as well.

Overall:

The Saints won, but a lot of questions have come up. The Seahawks miss Russell Wilson badly.
