San Antonio-(RYM)-Week 4 is in the books, which means an all new The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Bengals 24, Jaguars 21

The battle of the number 1 picks was as good as promised

Jags QB Trevor Lawrence and Bengals QB Joe Borrow/

Jags QB Trevor Lawrence and Bengals QB Joe Borrow/Sports Illustrated

Good:

The Bengals are as good if not better than in years past, they are no Super Bowl contenders, YET!!!! but they are all moving in the right direction.

Laviska Shenaul Jr. was the definition of next man up, once Chark went down with an injury he took the reins and went for 99 yards and was Lawrence’s most trusted target on Thursday night.

Bad:

The Bengals started off slow, could not move the ball at the begging of both halves, it was no issue vs The Jags but vs playoff teams, it will not work.

Terrible start for Trevor Lawrence this is the first time in his football career that he has lost 4 straight games how will the number 1 overall pick is going to react to the bad start.

Ugly:

The Jaguars have lost the past 5 games, in each of these 5 games they were they held the lead by 7+ points. If The Jags want to finally win a game they are going to need to learn how to get leads and keep them.

Overall:

The Bengals right now are in a position to make a wild card spot, but it is there's to lose. The Jags are well in the dumpster and Urban is on the hot seat.

Titans , Jets

The Titans suck simple as that.

Titans RB Derrick Henry running past Jets Defenders/

Titans RB Derrick Henry running past Jets Defenders/Tennessee Titans

Good:

THE JETS WON THEIR FIRST GAME!!!!! Overall The Jets played well and can use this as a springboard for the future.

The Titans did not just lay down and take it they fought back to which is what you want to see.

Bad:

The Jets had the lead and allowed The Titans to come back and tie the game to take it to OT, The Jets need to learn and fast how to get leads and keep them because that will help ease things to QB Wilson.

The Titans forgot the run and tried to pass it when they know that as long as they feed King Henry they will win the game.

Ugly:

The Titans have a lot of issues from shanked FG, to miss coverages to of course not running the ball. If they want to make it back to the AFC Championship they are going to need to fix these issues, lucky for them their division is pretty weak and can win it easily.

Overall:

The Jets finally won a game just hope that it translates to more wins. The Titans have a lot of issues and if they do not fix those issues then say goodbye to the post-season run.

Chiefs 42, Eagles 30

5 TDs for Mahomes what a comeback.

Good:

Patrick Mahomes threw for 5 TDs, and that L from last week is like it never happened. They played so much better, smarter, and to who they are which is what we want to see.

Jalen Hurts threw for a career-high 387 yards, which is good they are finding ways to move the ball and put points on the board.

Chiefs TE Jody Fortson spikes the ball after scoring a touchdown/

Chiefs TE Jody Fortson spikes the ball after scoring a touchdown/Kansas City Chiefs

Bad:

The Pass defense of The Chiefs still is a big question they allowed 387 yards if they do not change this I am not sure if they can win games.

The Eagles are having issues once again with penalties 3 TDs were taken of the board due to penalties, yes you are going to tell me they at least got points (Filed Goals) which is greats but not if you want to win actual games.

Ugly:

The Eagles need to figure out the penalties otherwise get used to Ls cause that is all they will have.

Overall:

The Chiefs came back and stopped the 2 game losing streak but The Eagles need a lot of work.

Panthers 28, Cowboys 36

I will keep saying it, HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!

Dallas QB Dak Prescott celebrates throwing a TD pass to TE Blake Jarwin/

Dallas QB Dak Prescott celebrates throwing a TD pass to TE Blake Jarwin/Dallas Cowboys

Good:

Once again The Dallas Cowboys played a complimentary game, with running, throwing and defense making stops, against the No. 1 defense non the less. Very happy with them overall.

Sam Darnold played great 2 rushing TDs and making them stop the RB, QB, and WR.

Bad:

As good as The Cowboys OL has been the past 3 games against The Panthers they did struggle a little only allowing Prescott a 77.5% completion percentage which is not bad but that is not what he is used to.

The Panthers OL allowed 5 sacks to The Cowboys Defense, as well as the running, has a lot left to be desired without CMC.

Ugly:

Once again we see two different Sam Darnold's. First half it looked like they had The Cowboy's number and could go toe to toe with them, then came the second half and he was making mistakes he would have never made before missing wide open WR and not seeing open lanes to run the ball himself. This is a big reason why I did not buy into the 3-0 record.

Overall:

The Cowboys are playing like champs, while The Panthers have a lot to look at before next week.

Giants 27, Saints 21

Saints! What happened?

Saints CB Bradley Roby pre game/

Saints CB Bradley Roby pre game/New Orleans Saints

Good:

The Giants finally won a game, but more importantly, they did something they haven't done before and that is staying calm even when down by double digits.

The Saints still have the 1-2 punch with Hill at backup QB if they can do more of that they can be a very dangerous team.

Bad:

The Giants still have huge issues with killing drives that are working, it was showed how bad it can be because they didn't score for the first 20 minutes of the game.

The Saints had their first game back at home since Hurrican Idea hit and fans were there but even then they could keep a lead or make something happen with the offense.

Ugly:

The Saints giving up so much is the ugly part here and the issues with the offense and defense are starting to show but I also give them that with 3 weeks on the road and consistent plane flights due to the hurricane has finally caught up with them so it is sad that it was in the there first actual home game.

Overall:

The game was overall as we expected no one buys Winston as the future of The Saints but also we would not have seen how The Giants stayed calm and came back to win.

Vikings 7, Browns 14

Closer game than it should have been.

Good:

Stefanski's return to Minnesota was pretty good, the defense had another huge performance, I am starting to get the feeling that everything in Cleveland is going to run through the defense.

Kirk Cousins had command of the offense and helped move the ball up and down the field.

Bad:

The offense stalled for The Browns and if it was not for another dominant defense they would I am not sure if they would have won the game.

Dalvin Cook's return was useless and he might as well not have played and the OL could not keep The Browns defense of Kirk Cousins.

Ugly:

The Vikings took a huge step back with 11 possessions without a score, not even fields goals and they were close in some cases I am not sure what the coaching staff is thinking here.

Overall:

The Browns are winning and that is all that matters and can finally win their division. The Vikings I am just not sure anymore maybe it is time for a change.

Bears 24, Lions 14

Welcome the winner circle Fields

Bears QB Justin Fields at center scanning the field/

Bears QB Justin Fields at center scanning the field/Chicago Bears

Good:

The Bears dominated The Lions today simple as that and for a short time Matt Nagy's seat has cooled off.

The Lions have an idea of what they want to do, and when executed they can't be stopped.

Bad:

The Bears were not perfect by any means but were able to make QB Fields more comfortable, the OL did play better but I am still not 100% sure about them.

Goff is supposed to go forward but right now his moving backward, I am not sure if this game goes on Dan Campbell or the team but someone has to take the blame.

Ugly:

The Lions need to start looking at the panic button, like I said when they play to who they are they can't be stopped but they seem to get away from that and then have to play from behind. If they do not start playing to their identity I am not sure a win is in their future.

Overall:

The Bears finally gave Fields a win they been waiting for but The Lions are moving backward.

Texans 0, Bills 40

Bills why do you have to bully the Texans like that?

Good:

The Texans had 87 yards which is more than I would have expected.

The Bills came in and took control right of the bat, I can't say anything more than great football was played today

Bad:

The Bills did nothing bad.

The Texans did everything bad.

Ugly:

The Texans could not move the ball, they couldn't protect the QB, catch the ball, run the ball just nothing. I don't see anything getting better for them.

Overall:

The Bills are prime and ready to make a run as for The Texans let's just start looking at next year.

Colts 27, Dolphins 17

The Colts finally win 1

Good:

The Colts finally started clicking, on offense they ran and passed the ball, and on defense, they put pressure on Jacoby Brissett to make in make mistakes they need more of it to get out the sub 500 hole they have dug.

The Dolphin's defense once again was the highlight of the day they did all they could to stop The Colts.

Bad:

They need to keep it going some of the drives that looked to have stalled but were saved if they can fix those little things we can see a much different Colts teams moving forward.

The Dolphins just did a lot of things wrongs on offense and defense simple as that.

Ugly:

The Dolphins had almost no first downs, offside penalties on punts given The Colts a free 1st down, but the one worse thing is the fumble I am not sure if Brissett just doesn't protect the ball or the OL is not helping him but I am not happy with them at all.

Overall:

The Colts are happy for now, The Dolphins are questionable at best.

WTF 34, Falcons 30

The Falcons should have won/gotten at least 1 more real chance.

Good:

Taylor Heinicke once again delivered once again for Washington, the TD pass to J.D. McKissie was really out of this world. I am not saying he's the future but he is making the best of the opportunity he has been given.

Patterson is still the light of The Falcons he led the team in rushing and receiving (and is my hidden gem in fantasy).

Bad:

Washington still has issues they missized field goals and defense is not the top defense we thought they would be.

The Falcons cannot get out of their way, they had the lead and somehow let it go so I am not sure how or when this is going to be fixed.

Ugly:

Washington at the end of the game took their time and played with the ball to kill as much as time for the possible not allowing The Falcons at least one or two more possessions to me that is disgusting and should have been a flag with 15 yards to the Falcons either play fair and win or get off the field.

Overall:

WTF is moving but still questionable, while The Falcons can't get out of their way.

Seahawks 28, 49ers 21

Russell Wilson prevented his first ever 3 game losing streak ever in his NFL Career

Seattle QB Russell Wilson celebrates a TD Pass/

Seattle QB Russell Wilson celebrates a TD Pass/Seattle Seahawks

Good:

Russell Wilson and the Seahawks started shakily but were able to get it together and bring a W home. Wilson reconnected with DK for a TD pass while spreading the ball maybe we can stop worrying about the panic button for Seattle (for now).

Trey Lance took over for Garoppolo and was looking as good as a rookie can look after being thrown into a game due to an injury even with that he was 9 for 18 and 157 yards with 2TDs.

Bad:

The Seahawks offensively could not do anything at first and that is worrisome what would happen if they had not focused up maybe the game would have ended a lot differently.

Injuries are piling up for the 49ers from K Robbie Gould to LT Trent Williams and even DE Arden Key and of course QB Jimmy Garoppolo, can they overcome them or are they going to let the injury monster ruin their season.

Ugly:

We have to ask, is Trey Lance ready to start? I can answer that right now with a simple I am not sure once he took over the 49ers only passed the 50-yard line twice that is not going to win you games at all. Now I can agree that maybe it had a lot to do with the fact that he got thrust into the game last minute when the game plan was created for someone else but one cannot be sure, we are just going to have to see if he starts next week to be more sure.

Overall:

The Seahawks are moving forward but The 49ers should be worried right now.

Cardinals 37, Rams 20

WOW!!! Did not see that coming!!!

Good:

The Rams are at a historic pace with Stafford tied with Jared Goff and HOF Kurt Warner for the 2nd most pass TD by a Rams QB in their first 4 games, add that Darrell Henderson Jr. is controlling the running game one can see why they are happy with the overall team.

The Cardinals are rushing and passing the ball like champs. The offense is as explosive as promised and the addition of A.J. Green (which at first I thought was a bad decision) has become one of the best additions for The Cardinals since the Hopkins trade.

Bad:

Stafford had his first bad performance as a Rams QB going 26 of 41 for 280 yards and although the numbers do not look bad the reality is that he could not connect with any of the receivers like his been the past few weeks. The defense was no better leaving WRs open for easy receptions and lack of run defense.

The only bad part for The Cardinals is that Murphy injured his ribs which may cause him to miss time even though he did come back in the game.

Ugly:

We now know how to beat The Rams and that is force McVay to abandoned his plan and force him to do things he does not want to do, vs The Cardinals he left the running game even though The Cardinals defense has not been able to stop the run all year.

Overall:

The Cardinals are for real and someone to worry about moving forwards, The Rams have questions but nothing that can't be fixed.

Steelers 17, Packers 27

Ben needs to retire.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers warming up before the game/

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers warming up before the game/Green Bay Packers

Good:

Randall Cobbs's come back to Green Bay was sensational with 2 TDs, got to love that homecoming. Overall The Packers played great they were 100% on everything.

Big Ben threw for his 400th career TD pass making only the 8th player to reach this milestone so congrats Ben.

Bad:

CB Jaire Alexander did get hurt in the 3rd quarter but other than that nothing bad for The Packers.

The Steelers outside of the first TD could not get back to the end zone until 4 minutes left in the game, how are they supposed to win games if they can't even make it to the endzone.

Ugly:

The Steelers are having issues with the penalties and just inconsistency in all areas of their game, I do not see them getting any better. Simply put they need to let go of Big Ben and start looking at the future.

Overall:

The Packers will look like they are supposed to, while The Steelers need to let go of the past and move on to the future.

Ravens 23, Broncos 7

I mean Teddy got hurt so what should we expect.

Good:

Lamar Jackson finally was able to connect with Hollywood Brown for a 49 yard TD and the defense did everything to keep The Broncos offense from putting points.

Drew Lock did his best to keep The Broncos in the game, good job on that.

Bad:

The Ravens played way too dirty in my opinion the hit on Diontae Spencer by CB Tavoin Young says it all no call even when it was obvious it should have been flagged.

The Broncos were hit with injuries bad WR/KR Diontae Spencer, QB Teddy Bridgewater, and LB Odafe Oweh like we have been saying over and over again can The Broncos overcome the injuries and bounce back? We will have to wait and see.

Ugly:

I love the game of football but simply put The Ravens played way too dirty and should have been flagged and removed from the game, I get it injuries and things will happen but not like this just not like this.

Overall:

The Ravens have won 3 straight after the opening loss to The Raiders. The Broncos need to look at the injuries and make sure they are losing all they worked so hard for.

Bucs 19, Patriots 17

Bucs QB Tom Brady hugs HC Bill Belichick at the end of the game/

Bucs QB Tom Brady hugs HC Bill Belichick at the end of the game/Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady took a very hard test and passed it.

Good:

In his return to Tom Brady, he did a few things,

  1. He broke the record for most passing yards with 80k+

  2. He has now beaten every team in the NFL (with no team having a winning record vs him)

  3. He came home to New England and left with a W.

You can say even though it was not a pretty game for Tom Brady he still pulled the W.

When Mac Jones was under the gun he played amazingly and was able to move the ball up and down and was able to take advantage of the decimated Bucs secondary, which was very impressive and the defense played the best game so far so they should be very with the overall performance.

Bad:

The Bucs struggle all over the ball in the defense, the secondary is so decimated by injuries that they are calling me up to play CB. The LB struggled again to get to the QB and stop short passes, and now they can't even get points on offense once in the Red Zone.

Had the Patriots gotten closer then maybe the field goal would have gone in it was a failure on Bill Belichick not going for it on 4th and 3 when they were moving so well down the field, but in the end, who knows.

Ugly:

The worse thing for The Bucs right now is injuries, they are starting to hit the wall with injuries, and eventually, it is going to catch up with them (and I believe it has).

Overall:

The Bucs should be happy they won but have a lot to worry about now. The Patriots won a moral victory vs The Bucs they played great and in reality, it was Bill that lost the game for them.

Raiders , Chargers

The Team to beat in the AFC West is not The Raiders but The Chargers.

Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow makes an amazing tackle to stop a fake punt by The Chargers/Touchdownwire

Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow makes an amazing tackle to stop a fake punt by The Chargers/Touchdownwire

Good:

The Raiders said they do not care about stats they just want to win and they showed it today, less than 220 total yards, and still manage to come back and make The Chargers worry about their lead.

The Chargers were amazing overall from the run to the pass and even in the defense. People were sleeping on Herbert but look at him now making everyone sweat when he's on the field.

Bad:

The Raiders had no answer in the first half and they have been like that for a while now and it finally caught up with them. They also have injuries all over the secondary that hurt their chances to make a comeback.

The Chargers starter slow but got the wagon going, this is a little worrisome but nothing that they cant overcome (and they did during today).

Ugly:

The Raiders lost today but thanks to the huge run they had at the begging and easy schedule to come they have a chance to stay in the race but with injuries, they are going to have to think about how the next men up will do because in today's case the next men up really hurt them.

Overall:

The Raiders have questions but they are built to overcome them and with the easy schedule that will help. The Chargers are the team to beat and are real contenders in the AFC.
