Los Angeles, California (February 15, 2025)- The worlds of fashion, art, and music collided this week with exciting news and collaborations. Kendrick Lamar and SZA stole the show at the Super Bowl LIX halftime performance with custom leather looks. Lamar sported a Martine Rose varsity jacket embroidered with "Gloria" over Celine Homme jeans, while SZA rocked a custom Ashton Michael pant and Born x Raised leather jacket featuring "Lana" and "Crybaby" logos. The dancers also sported custom Born x Raised workwear, all made in Los Angeles.
In the art world, The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Art, joins LA Art Week 2025 (Feb. 20-23) at a new venue in Atwater Village. The fair will feature 140 independent artists, large-scale sculptures, murals, and a segment of Judy Baca's "The Great Wall of L.A." They will also donate proceeds to the L.A. Arts Community Fire Relief Fund. The fair emphasizes accessibility and connection between collectors and emerging artists. Free entry is available Saturday and Sunday, as capacity allows, to attendees of other LA Art Week fairs.
Fashion collaborations were also in the spotlight. Miu Miu partnered with French brand Petit Bateau for a Spring/Summer 2025 collection revisiting youthful wardrobe staples like bodysuits, tees, vests, and knickers, all made in Italy. The collection is available at Miu Miu stores and online. Forever 21 launched a collaboration with the Compton Cowboys for Black History Month. The collection blends Western and streetwear influences, reflecting the Cowboys' motto, "Streets Raised Us. Horses Saved Us." The limited-edition line includes jackets, denim, and other pieces inspired by the Cowboys' style and is available in Forever 21 stores and online.
Finally, Kacey Musgraves debuted the "Deeper Wellness Smoothie" at Erewhon in partnership with Sun Chlorella. Proceeds from the smoothie, featuring chlorella, lion's mane, and other ingredients, will benefit Altadena Girls, a charity supporting teens displaced by the L.A. wildfires. The smoothie is available at all Erewhon locations until March 3.
