Sabrina Carpenter Announces "Short n' Sweet" World Tour with Double Platinum Hit
Los Angles, California (August 12, 2024)- Fresh off a captivating performance at Outside Lands Music Festival, chart-topping pop star Sabrina Carpenter has ignited excitement with the announcement of a massive global tour.
The "Short n' Sweet" tour kicks off in September with a North American leg featuring Carpenter headlining arenas across the continent. Notably, 33 shows have already sold out, including prestigious venues like Madison Square Garden and the Crypto.com Arena.
Hitting the Road with a Star-Studded Lineup and a Cause
Carpenter won't be going solo. Joining her on the North American leg are rising stars Amaarae, Griff, and Declan McKenna. International audiences can expect support from Rachel Chinouriri on the upcoming European dates.
Beyond the music, Carpenter is making a positive impact. She's partnering with PLUS1 to establish the Sabrina Carpenter Fund, supporting mental health, animal welfare, and LGBTQ+ advocacy efforts.
Chart-Topping Momentum and a New Era
With nearly six albums under her belt, Carpenter is riding a wave of success. Her recent single, "Please Please Please," made history by debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, while "Espresso" reached a new peak at No. 3. This accomplishment marks her as the first solo artist in Billboard history to land two simultaneous top-three hits without previously achieving such success.
"Please Please Please" boasts a music video starring Carpenter's real-life boyfriend, Barry Keoghan, further fueling fan interest. The song, co-written with Amy Allen (who also worked on "Espresso"), is just a taste of what's to come on "Short n' Sweet". Half of the album was produced by the renowned Jack Antonoff, alongside Carpenter's longtime collaborator Julian Bunetta.
Building on Previous Success
Carpenter's previous album, "Emails I Can't Send," released in 2022, became her highest-charting effort to date, featuring the hit single "Nonsense."
