Guadalajara, MX -(RYM)- Néstor Fly, a young singer-songwriter originally from Monclova and currently living in Guadalajara, has become a controversial and vibrant figure within the LGBT community. With a career marked by confrontations and challenges, he has managed to win the love and respect of many, although not without generating controversy.

A Voice for the Community and a Critic of Injustice

In his recent performance during Guadalajara's Pride celebration, Néstor Fly launched a public complaint against the organizers of the "Orgullo de Guadalajara" march, accusing them of financial fraud and mismanagement. According to Néstor, these organizers sold only 30 tickets for a concert planned last year at the Plaza de Toros de Guadalajara, with artists such as María León and Edith Márquez, and did not refund the money to attendees after the event was canceled. He criticized the commercialization of the march and defended the authenticity of the "Pride de Guadalajara", which managed to gather 700,000 people this year.

Néstor has faced discrimination both in his country and abroad. A notable incident occurred in Guatemala, where he was discriminated against by a television station for wearing the colors of the gay flag and being openly part of the LGBT community. However, his participation in this year's Pride was a vindication, with an enthusiastic audience chanting his name, reflecting the positive impact of his activism.

Art as a Form of Expression and Provocation

Known for the energy and provocation of his performances, Néstor assures that these elements arise naturally in collaboration with his team. He has received requests for moderation from his family, concerned about his safety, which has caused tensions, especially with older relatives with homophobic attitudes.

Néstor has found support in his professional field, going from being a DJ on an LGBT radio station to a singer. He fondly recalled an unexpected performance with Susana Zabaleta at Guadalajara's Pride last year, which was very well received. However, he has also had negative experiences, such as the interaction with Bellakath at Pride 2023, who showed a rushed and unsympathetic attitude towards the community.

For future Pride performances, Néstor plans to be even more provocative, inspired by figures like Madonna, and does not rule out the use of sex toys in his shows. Regarding past conflicts, such as the confrontation in 2022 with a man dressed as a woman at the Zapotlanejo Pride march, Néstor clarified that he acted in defense of a colleague who was being assaulted.

An Icon of Resilience and the Fight for Equality

Despite the challenges and controversies, Néstor Fly remains an icon in the fight for LGBT rights in Guadalajara. His story reflects both the challenges and triumphs of being a public figure in Mexico's second-largest city. Néstor's unwavering commitment to his art and his community serves as an inspiration to many, demonstrating that even in the face of adversity, one can use their voice to make a positive impact.
