Lainey Wilson Makes Whirlwind Appearance on Fallon, Up for CMA Awards
Los Angeles, California (September 21, 2024)- Country music superstar Lainey Wilson is having a whirlwind of a year, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon.
This week, Wilson appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to chat with Jimmy Fallon and perform her hit single "4x4xU."
Wilson is also nominated for a whopping four awards at the upcoming 58th annual CMA Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year ("Watermelon Moonshine"), and Music Video of the Year ("Wildflowers and Wild Horses").
This recognition comes on the heels of her critically acclaimed album, Whirlwind, which debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 chart, her highest charting album yet. Critics have been raving about the project, calling it "the best release of her career" (The Tennessean) and praising her "blend of brawn, heart, and willingness to upend the status quo" (Rolling Stone).
Whirlwind follows Wilson's string of successes this year, including a Grammy Award win for Best Country Album, induction into the Grand Ole Opry, and multiple wins at the ACM Awards and CMA Awards, where she took home the coveted Entertainer of the Year award. Most recently, she added two more awards to her collection at the ACM Honors: the Triple Crown Award and the Milestone Award.
A captivating live performer, Wilson is currently on her extensive "Country's Cool Again" headline tour. The tour features sold-out shows across the US and Canada, with upcoming dates including Vancouver, Auburn, and Raleigh.
