Kendrick Lamar and SZA to Team Up for Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show

Los Angeles, California (January 30, 2025)- Get ready for a dynamic Super Bowl Halftime Show! Kendrick Lamar, who is headlining the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in New Orleans on February 9th, has revealed that he'll be joined by none other than SZA.

The announcement came via a teaser released by Apple Music on January 23rd. In the clip, Lamar teases a special guest while walking the Caesars Superdome turf, only to be surprised by SZA with a Gatorade bath.

This exciting collaboration isn't surprising, given that Lamar and SZA have a history of successful collaborations, including tracks like "All the Stars" from the Black Panther soundtrack and "Doves in the Wind" from SZA's album Ctrl. They also recently joined forces on "Luther" from Lamar's latest album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.

The Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show is being executive produced by Roc Nation and Jesse Collins, with pgLang providing creative direction. This marks Lamar's first time headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show, although he made a memorable appearance during Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre's performance in 2022.

This performance will be a preview of what's to come for fans, as Lamar and SZA are set to embark on their Grand National Tour across North America starting in April.

February is shaping up to be a busy month for Lamar, who is also nominated for seven Grammy Awards. With a potential Grammy win and a highly anticipated Super Bowl performance, Lamar is poised to have a spectacular start to 2025.
