Exclusive Interview with Voice Over Actor Antonio Corbo, ‘Lubbichi’

What drew you to this movie and the storyline?

“I’ve always wanted to do something dope and animated. The original book was very good and the script was very inspiring, and it brings hope to people, I really like that about this movie.”

What is something that you think this movie taught you ??

“I would say that this movie made me a lot more conscious of recycling and how it affects the earth. I also have been very motivated and pushed, like a fire has been lit under me.”

As a child voice actor, what would you say are your biggest challenges?

“ It gets a little lonely having a busy schedule and being homeschooled. I only have 3 friends, and it’s just a lot.”

What are some common character traits that you think you have with Lubbichi?

“ Common character traits between Lubbichi and I is that Lubbichi is very mature for his age. He has a job as a chimney cleaner and his mom is a single mom. I can relate to him because my mom always tells me that I am mature for my age, I also have a job at a very young age, and i also am growing up with a single mom.”

Antonio is a very well-rounded child voice actor, he has accomplished so much in such little time, and he is very mature for his age to say the least. Getting to know the voice behind Lubbichi and how he is very entwined with the character at hand was very refreshing, and I can’t wait to see more from Antonio.
