Los Angeles, California (February 13, 2025)- Rising country music star Drew Baldridge has launched "The Tough People Fund," a GoFundMe campaign dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and communities facing difficult times. The inaugural campaign will benefit a young fan named Baker, who is bravely battling cancer.

Baker's story deeply resonated with Baldridge. He learned that she found strength in his hit song "Tough People" while undergoing treatment. Inspired by her resilience, Baldridge decided to use his platform to support Baker and raise awareness for her fight.

"She was four years old when they got the news / It was in her little lungs, it was stage two / Mama spent every night by her bed / And daddy shaved his head / Talk about tough people / Yeah, there were plenty of times she could've gave up / But she didn't / Nah, she fought like hell 'til she rang that bell in Memphis," the lyrics of "Tough People" poignantly reflect Baker's courageous battle.

The GoFundMe campaign features a personal message from Baldridge. Demonstrating his commitment, he kicked off the campaign on World Cancer Day with a $1,000 donation.

In his heartfelt letter, Baldridge explains Baker's diagnosis of ETP T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. He emphasizes Baker's strength and fighting spirit, while also acknowledging the immense financial burden her family faces. Baker's mother has had to leave her job to provide the necessary care, and the funds raised will help alleviate some of the financial stress, allowing the family to focus on Baker's health.

Baldridge's message is not just about raising money; it's about building a community of support for Baker, surrounding her with prayer, love, and resources. He encourages everyone to join him in helping Baker win her fight.

"Tough People," released in October 2024, is already making a difference. Co-written by Baldridge, Luke Combs, Adam Sanders, and Jordan Walker, the song is climbing the radio charts, nearing the Top 15. Listen to "Tough People". This follows Baldridge's previous success with his first #1 hit, "She's Somebody's Daughter," which made history when he became the first self-funded artist to reach #1 on country radio with their debut single.
